Education

Education is one of the fundamental pillars of development, and so in 2017 Czech development aid focused primarily on supporting elementary and secondary education. Important parts of the projects included the sharing and creation of teaching materials, training and workshops for pedagogical staff and the introduction of modern teaching methods.

Funding allocation to the education sector was almost CZK 28 million. The actual drawdown amounted to almost CZK 30 million. The recipient countries included Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and Zambia.

The projects help to fulfil Sustainable Development Goal No. 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote life-long learning opportunities for all.
