In the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, where education is now in its fourth year and is mostly distance learning, there is a negative impact on the quality of education and on the psychological well-being of pupils and teachers. Distance education, which is a consequence of the armed conflict, brings new challenges in education management, which slows down adaptation to crisis conditions and increases the burden on education staff.
The project "Strengthening the capacities and competences of workers in the education sector in Dnipropetrovsk region - 2024" aims to improve the capacity of school staff to function effectively in crisis situations. The aim is to strengthen the capacity of the Dnipro Academy of Lifelong Learning, which plays a key role in the professional development of teachers in the region, through training for staff in 60 schools on crisis management, innovative teaching methods and psychosocial support. The project will also provide material assistance in the form of mini-grants, which will contribute to improving the situation in secondary education. The project will be implemented by the Association for International Affairs in cooperation with the Dnipro Academy of Lifelong Learning and the Centre for Professional Development of Educational Staff from Krivoy Rog, with the support of the Department of Education of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
