The aim of the project was to improve the qualification and employment opportunities for people in the agricultural and agro-processing sectors in the northern part of the Central Region of Mongolia. Although macroeconomic indicators of Mongolia show growth in recent years, the rural population is getting poorer. Agriculture and agro-processing sectors grow very slowly, lacking not only investment, but also skilled people. The project has improved the quality of teaching at several vocational schools in a region, where agriculture and forestry industries have long tradition and which also has the largest number of unemployed young people from all over Mongolia.
