The project builds on the existing limited-quality system for per-service training for Woreda technicians at Awassa Polytechnic College. Through strengthening the Awassa Polytechnic College’s Electro-mechanic course of the Water Technology Department and improving linkages between stakeholders it shall ensure long-term access of the target group to improved quality teaching and facilities. Following the capacity building of the Water Technology Electro-mechanical course, the project then addresses current skill gaps at both the Woreda and water-scheme (community) level, through short-term in-service training provided by the College.
