The project is relevant to the current situation in the Moldovan high education since its impact should reflect in solution of the low quality of Moldovan higher agricultural education and rural development which is connected with it through the know-how transfer between the Czech agricultural universities (Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague – CULS) and the State Agricultural University of Moldova in Chisinau (SAUM).
The aim of the project is to support educational processes, research and international activities at the State Agricultural University of Moldova in Chisinau through a series of organizational, professional and material inputs which will lead to assimilation of the quality of its main activities to European standards.
The aim of the project will be achieved by realization of four outputs. The main outputs will focus on activities leading to improvement of pedagogical skills of teachers and of quality of teaching on the FMD/SAUM and its link with the research. These outputs will follow up the project of development cooperation realized in the past by CULS in the years 2006 – 2008. It was financed by the funds of the Czech development cooperation. The organizers want to support the operations of the Scientific and Pedagogical Laboratory (established within the past Czech project), to offer lectures of Czech professors to the partner university SAUM, to prepare a proposal of the new field of study, etc.
In the field of science and research, the outputs are focused on identification of common development topics and formulation of the joint research project, organization of the professional seminar and completion of equipment and literature for the Laboratory of Bioenergetics (established and equipped by the earlier Czech project). Other outputs will focus on international cooperation and promotion of the project: analysis of the current status and priorities in the SAUM international activity, organizing the Summer School named “Participation of students in the management of the university“, etc. The project proposes to establish website and publish promotional articles and information materials. The project was launched at the end of 2012.
