The aim of the project “Vocational Training Center for Vulnerable Youths Mongu“ is to boost the economy of Mongu District through individual economic empowerment and contribute to the development of the Zambia´s least developed region.
The mission of the development project, which is funded by the Czech Development Agency, is to provide free vocational courses to orphans and vulnerable young people facing extreme poverty and social exclusion, and enable them to gain economic independence. The project continues in the tradition established by the Vocational Training for Vulnerable Children Katongo that has been working in the same area for the past 3 years. In total, 180 young people will be given the chance to obtain an official trade certificate. The project's activities also include establishing industrial production units that would provide the students with a unique training experience and ensure the centre's future sustainability.
