The aim of the project is to contribute to sustainable development of agriculture and to manufacturing and marketing of local food production. Consequently, it will contribute to reducing the need for imports of basic foodstuffs and to poverty reduction. The aim is to be achieved by increasing capacity and improving quality of agricultural education in the Bié province. Czech Republic helped in restoring agricultural education in Bié province through the pilot project of the Centre of Agricultural Education in Kuito, thus has a relatively privileged position in this field.
The project is implemented through contracts “Support to the Management of the Secondary Agricultural School in Kuito” (formerly Centre of Agricultural Education established with the support of the Czech Republic in 2004) and “Support to the Vocational Agricultural School in Catabola”. In addition a qualitative study of secondary agricultural education in Angola was elaborated with the aim to serve Angolan institutions and partners in development cooperation as a basis for designing new programs to promote agricultural education in Angola.
