Phase I of the project (2020) included the reconstruction of the premises for a special interrogation room for particularly vulnerable victims, including the installation of a fire alarm system (Phase II). Phase III (2021) envisages the technical and material equipment of the reconstructed premises. As part of Phase III (2021), the reconstructed premises were equipped with new modern audiovisual equipment. This equipment will enable the Lviv University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to organise new educational courses not yet reflected in Ukraine. These include training in conducting interrogations of particularly vulnerable persons, such as children/minors or the disabled. The project follows the methodological support provided by the Police Education and Service Training Unit of the Czech Republic, in the framework of which the University of Lviv adopted the method of conducting such interrogations and its specifics. However, until now there was a lack of adequate facilities where such activities could be tested. This is the first such comprehensive project in Ukraine and it is therefore expected that it will be used by universities from other regions of Ukraine, but also to provide new knowledge to already graduated police officers in their further education.
