Reducing poverty, improving quality of life, sustainable development in the world. The Czech Development Agency (CZDA) has been working in these three areas since 1 January 2008, when it was established by Act No. 151/2010 Coll., on Foreign Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Abroad. It was founded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
The CZDA is a modern donor agency that works with the public administration, the non-profit sector, universities and research institutions and the private sector. The Agency plays a central role in the system of foreign development cooperation.
Activities of CZDA are guided by the Bilateral Foreign Development Cooperation Plan as well as the Strategy for Foreign Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic, which was approved for the period 2018-2030. In fulfilling its function, it cooperates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Czech embassies abroad, representatives of partner countries and other donors. The CZDA is an associate member of the Council for Foreign Development Cooperation.
