Energy Generation and Supply

In the area of energy generation and supply, the Czech Republic can use the extensive experience of Czech companies. In 2017, projects were implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Palestine, and Cambodia. The principal topics included the use of alternative power sources, such as solar systems for water heating, biogas, or biomass boilers, as well as increasing energy efficiency by modernizing existing energy systems.

In 2017, the Government of the Czech Republic approved CZK 41 million for the sector of energy generation and supply and more than CZK 26 million was drawn down.

CzechAid thus contributed to the fulfilment of Sustainable Development Goal No. 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
