The original sewage treatment plant (hereinafter "WWTP") from the 1980s was partially reconstructed in 2007-2008 with funds from the Czech Republic. The existing WWTP, especially its structural and technological parts, is in an unsatisfactory condition 13 years after the partial reconstruction. The operator lacks sufficient experience in the proper operation of wastewater treatment plants.
The feasibility study offers alternative proposals for the reconstruction or construction of a new WWTP, focusing on modern trends in the technical, economic, and environmental management of WWTPs. The study also determined the investment and operating costs, including their impact on the amortization and sustainability of the project.
