The project aims to build a new wastewater treatment plant for the town of Strășeni, located on the Bîc River, approximately 20 km northwest of the capital city of Chisinau. Strășeni is the administrative center of the Strășeni district and has a population of approximately 20 800 inhabitants (as of September 2021). The city produces a significant amount of wastewater that pollutes the Bîc River, which has a negative impact on the environment and the health of the population.
A techno-economic feasibility study was carried out as part of the first stage.
If the city decides to finance the project through a development loan from the National Development Bank, the Czech Development Agency will proceed to update the feasibility study. Wastewater treatment plant for Străşeni
