The core objective of this 3-year programme is to promote inclusive education for Low Vision children. The main outcomes are:
- 200 children will have been integrated into the Cambodian Public School System
- 574 teachers will have been trained on inclusive education
- Awareness of decision makers and general public on inclusive education will have been raised, which will lead to greater support for the introduction of inclusive education in Cambodia
Direct beneficiaries of the programme are low vision children from 5 to 14 years old in Cambodia. Once correct conditions for inclusion are created, these children can be included in regular public schools. The target group for this programme are educational stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education, parents and teachers, and local authorities.
