The development objective of this ODA project, implemented in cooperation with Moldovan Non-Governmental Organization ProRuralInvest, was to strengthen the competitiveness and efficiency of small and medium farmers. Specific targets included improving farmer’s competitiveness and market integration, as well as a providing more general support to organic agriculture sector in Moldova and opening up a path for its integration into the European market with organic products.
Over the course of the project, producers of agricultural crops have been trained in farming techniques complying with the principles of organic agriculture, and in the formulation of marketing strategies and business plans. Examples of good practice in improving competitiveness and efficiency through organic production have been disseminated to the target group and also presented to Moldovan professional public.
