The project reacts on risky behaviour among children and adolescents (violence, addictions and social exclusion) in Chisinau caused by various social factors. Through the programme “Place of Change” the project provides comprehensive education and support for children and adolescents in the physical, social, emotional and spiritual area. The overall objective of the project is the support of vulnerable children and young people from disadvantaged families in order to reduce the threat of risky behaviour and help with socialisation within the local community.
The specific objectives of the project are: 1) to offer a safe environment where vulnerable children and adolescents from disadvantaged families will not face social exclusion; 2) to reduce risks from destructive behaviour and the risk of criminalisation among at-risk children and adolescents from disadvantaged families, building psychological resilience to negative influences from the “street”; 3) to provide comprehensive support in the areas of education and socialisation processes for at-risk children and adolescents from disadvantaged families; 4) to improve the material aspects of the lives of vulnerable children and adolescents from disadvantaged families; 5) to lay the foundation of life skills, values and spirituality.
