The project focuses on a practical realization of foster training in accordance with the implementation of a law about foster care in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the integration of an approach based on children´s rights in accordance with the abovementioned law. The training comprises of educating foster care professionals in ways of alternative care that includes interactive, participatory and experiential methodologies. Increasing the capacities of target groups in alternative foster care will also increase the capacity and synergy that leads to the improvement of life quality of end users – children and adolescents in alternative foster care. Mutual peer-to-peer training will ensure the participation of young individuals in all processes, procedures and planning, not only as a tool for the improvement of relationship between the foster care professional and the youths, but also as an emphasis of a holistic approach with respect to the youths´ best interests. Both the professionals from the social protection system and the youths in the alternative foster care will benefit from the results of the project in the broadest extent either directly by participating in the educational training provided by the project or indirectly by benefiting from the favorable environment in which the educational training about children rights will continue.
