The aim of the project is to map all public drinking water sources (wells, springs) in southern Moldova. The analyzes of selected sources of drinking water will be performed to determine the basic qualitative and quantitative parameters. Subsequently data processing and  recommendation of  further steps will be done.

Technical reports will be handed over to representatives of local government and other relevant partners. General public in the area of interest  will be informed about  results of the survey as well (in the form of public meetings and in the long term thanks to the installation of information panels to individual sources of drinking water). The data obtained in electronic form will be entered in upcoming GIS database of water resources. In 2014, the mapping of drinking water sources in the districts of Cahul and Cantemir was carried out.
