The project is aimed at improving the quality of life of vulnerable seniors and disabled persons dependent on the care of others. The project aims to improve access to professional and high-quality health and social services home care in the southern region of Moldova and strengthen the model of social and health services of home care at national level. To achieve the project objective and in order to strengthen the capacities of communities at the local level in the southern region there are given professional trainings for social workers, social assistants, managers of Social Assistance Departments, NGO representatives, volunteers as well as for patients’ family members.
Within the project there will be established new day care centers in the cities of Ceadir - Lunga and Stefan Voda. These day care centers will provide services to the vulnerable people from the cities and the surrounding villages. Strenghening of cooperation and intensive dialogue focusing on the estimate and price adjustments of social and health services in home care between NGOs providing home care services and representatives of relevant miniseries will be maintained within the project. These organizations will promote the development of the legal framework focused on the social part of home care services. New NGOs and local government bodies will be trained on how to establish and operate community-based home care services.
