In the scope of cooperation with FARMA (joint USAID and Sida project), activities promoting economic development in agriculture in Bosnia and Herzegovina were initiated in 2011. This included for example the organization of expert training for Bosnian laboratory staff in qualitative methods for testing of honey, which took place in the Czech Republic. Other project activities focused mainly on the area of post-harvest treatment of fruit and vegetables with the participation of experts from both the USA and the Czech Republic. Joint activities also take place in growing raspberries (in cooperation with the University of Sarajevo and the Regional consulting center in Bratunac). Additional joint activities to support export of milk and milk products from BiH are planned for 2012.
