Moldova faces a high percentage of people in need of assistance whose problems are addressed by the public sector through a system of social protection and social services. In addition to increasing the professionalism of the protection system and services, it is also crucial to support the system of planning, coordination, and evaluation of need and to do so in close partnership with the relevant actors concerned by the issues of social services. Therefore, the project focuses on building the capacity of actors at the level of the central government, public administration, and providers of social and related services in three target regions of Moldova, which are identified in the context of project implementation. Support for engagement of the public and users of social and related services in the preparation of community plans in three target locations is an important part of project activities. The Czech Development Agency will thereby contribute to increasing the transparency of use of local public funds, the responsibility of the Moldovan public administration in the field of planning, and satisfying social needs of the citizens who really need such assistance.
