Since the launch of the study programme International Development Studies in 2003, the Department of Development Studies has been gathering information and incentives form universities abroad, in order to improve the quality of education it provides. Now the employees of the Department of Development Studies can share their experience with capacity-building and with the introduction of new courses in the curricula of similar departments in partner countries.
The project aims at improving the quality and increasing the number of courses taught at partner universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova and Serbia, as well as at establishing new cooperations. As a part of the project, the employees of the Department of Development Studies will give lectures at partner universities, based on their needs and preferences. Employees of partner universities will also receive trainings, thanks to which they will be able to include new topics in their courses and in study plans. The Department of Development Studies Course will also provide syllabuses and facilitate internships at educational institutions in the Czech Republic, specifically at the Palacký University in Olomouc and at the Metropolitan University in Prague. The experience and knowledge acquired by visiting professionals will contribute to the development and quality-improvement of partner universities.
