Wine is one of Moldova’s most important and best-known products and is therefore already available on European markets. However, since a large number of falsifications have been identified in recent years, it was necessary to proceed with a reform of the quality control system. The aim of sending Czech experts is to set up a control system of the Moldovan wine sector as well as to set up mechanisms for this control system (procedures, sanctions, legislation, etc.). Local experts will then be able to increase the credibility of the control system and significantly reduce the number of regulation transgressions in the Moldovan wine sector. This topic follows up on the successful project of the CzDA Elaboration and implementation of the Vine and Wine Register in the Republic of Moldova (2013–2017), whose impact is strengthened and expanded. The project will continue in 2019.
