The project aimed to support organic agriculture in Moldova, mainly through capacity building programs for farmers, their associations and consulting centres and also by stimulating demand for organic products in Moldova. Furthermore, farmers and associations gained improved access to investment funds. The project also raised public and government’s awareness of the benefits of organic agriculture in Moldova and contributed towards the proposal of a national action plan for its development.
