This project emerged on the basis of the analysis of needs, which took place in cooperation with the Khashuri district administration. Its purpose is to contribute to the improvement of quality and dignity of life among the especially vulnerable group of senior refugees, hundreds of whom live in the chosen district in the temporary conditions. The goals of the project will be achieved through the social care services. Particularly, through the establishment of the Day Care Center with hygienic facilities, rental of compensatory and rehabilitation aids, available services and activation program, supporting the self-efficiency of the seniors. Project ensures the transfer of the principles of the day care service centers that works in the Czech Republic. Project’s further goal is to raise the awareness of seniors about their rights, and strengthening the intergenerational solidarity. Project was launched in July, 2012 – the initiation activities took place, i.e. the purchase of the center equipment.
