The project has the overall objective to enhance the role of Europe in reforming the global food system to ensure the universal right to adequate food. The action’s specific objective – to increase the engagement of consumers, companies and political decision makers across 12 EU countries in promoting fairer policies and sustainable behaviours and practices to support smaller food producers and contribute to food security – will be pursued by an advocacy and campaigning strategy. The project comprises the two following outputs: 1) The citizens from 12 EU countries (especially young people, consumers) will be aware of the importance of a sustainable and responsible lifestyle and they will exert pressure on governments and the private sector in order to support a sustainable way of life and consumption. 2) Political and economic decision makers will be more willing to do some particular steps to solve the elementary causes of hunger and to provide strategies with a positive impact on small producers in developing countries.
