Alaba woreda’s community inhabiting Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People’s Region struggles with various social and economic issues. That is why the community is not eligible to meet its development needs. Above mentioned social issues are mostly related to unsatisfactory social infrastructure and insufficient services – the community lacks healthcare facilities, schools, access to drinking water etc. These and other issues thus result in underdevelopment of this region.

The project aim is to enhance medical healthcare access in Alaba’s community via material and financial assistance provided to local hospital build by community self-help. The project will therefore equip the hospital with healthcare equipment, build new dormitories as well as enhance local employees’ capacities via series of trainings led by Ethiopian and Czech professionals.
