A large number of abandoned children who suffer from a lack of parental care live in Ukraine. Children and adolescents often do not have access to education and health care. They are faced with violence and social exclusion. The project responds to the above-mentioned situation. Through the programme “My Family”, it provides comprehensive education and support for children and adolescents in the material, social and emotional areas. The overall objective of the project is support of the development of the concept of foster houses in Ukraine. The specific objectives include the following: 1) extended delivery and established equal access to high-quality foster care services; 2) children at risk of separation enabled to grow within a caring family environment due to family strengthening intervention including capacity building of their caregivers and ensuring their healthy development; 3) strengthened professionalism of Father’s House staff in foster care provision; 4) contribution to the strengthening and institutionalisation of the foster care sector on a system level; 5) co-financing builds on long-term cooperation – Diaconia of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren – CHDA with Linda Fonds. All participating partners are ready to materialise their co-financing and other project obligations in the following three years.
