The submitted project presents the follow-up stage of the same namely project which was implemented by People in Need from 2011 to 2013 within the Alaba a Damboya woredas, SNNPR, Ethiopia. The follow-up will replicate the aim to reduce dependency of local inhabitants on external aid while supporting the structures which should improve the agricultural practices on community level.

There will be also two means of intervention – the capacity building and professionalization of selected Farm training Centres (FTCs) and the support of the agriculture practices of local farmers in 5 kebeles. Support of those farmers will be held in cooperation with development agents (DAs) assigned to FTCs.

In reply to the positive results from the previous three years of the project implementation, the follow-up stage will continue to support the role of the FTCs as functional advisory centres and doing so to contribute to stabilization and development of agriculture situation in 5 other kebeles in Alaba (Alaba Special Woreda) district.
