The project’s goal is to strengthen the administrative, financial and coordinative capacities of the platform “Měj se k světu” to enable a greater inter-sectoral cooperation of NGO platforms working on the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goals. Four years into the project, the “Měj se k světu” initiative is turning into a transdisciplinary platform. Developmental, environmental, educational, gender, human-rights and other NGOs collectively advocate for their joint, concrete and cross-cutting objectives and enhance their strategic participation in decision-making. Through partnerships with central government bodies (on implementation plans for the fresh National Sustainable Development Strategy and the Agenda 2030) and progressive business alliances (on strategic planning of the UN Global Compact’s local network and CSR reporting) as well as their own contributions (measurable voluntary commitments) they intend to strengthen sustainable development both home and abroad. Apart from that, the member NGO platforms decided to tap into private resources, improve their data processing capabilities, and bolster the support they provide to each other and “Měj se k světu’s” internal coordination.
