The project "SIRIRI: Capacity Support for a Sustainable Programme" builds on projects aimed at strengthening the organisation's professional capacity that have been implemented in recent years. All the capacity support projects have had a significant impact on the stable functioning and development of SIRIRI, thus providing effective support to programmes in the CAR (Central African Republic). The main objective of the capacity building project was to support the capacity of the SIRIRI organization to increase the sustainability of the training program in CAR. The project coordinator worked with a council of experts from the Czech Republic to build the capacity of local teachers in the CAR to then work independently with other teachers in promoting literacy. One of the objectives was to review the internal strategy of the School at Play programme and the possibilities of funding from the European Union. By supporting the capacity of the organisation, SIRIRI has contributed to the development of literacy and numeracy in the CAR. The programme has been very well established and accepted by the local communities.
