The aim of the project is to support the mountainous region of Khulo in Georgia to increase diversification and sustainability of the local economy, with respect to environmental protection. A functional local action group will be established to formulate a local development strategy. It will build on the experience of Croatian and other Georgian action groups and should help develop and implement a sustainable regional strategy that will contribute to raising employment and household income. In addition, support and training for farmers, local entrepreneurs, young people and small craftsmen will increase their competitiveness and profitability. A tourism development plan will also be developed. The project will involve 130 entrepreneurs, 50 providers of tourism services and 80 farmers.
