The objective of the project is to increase overall living standards of poor farmers in identified kebeles through improving their attitude towards agriculture and natural resources. The project combines several components that tackle natural resource degradation, malnutrition, food insecurity, improved income of poor families and actual community work. For long-term sustainability, the project focuses on building of capacities of local governmental partners and specialists. Therefore, all the extension efforts will continue after the finalisation of the project driven by the initiative of the local institutions and communities themselves.
