The project involves modernization of teaching of the subject of Electric Drives in bachelor and master programs and of the subject of Technological Processing in Automatic Control in master programs. The aim of the project is to provide professors and subsequently students of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) with the latest information from the field of electric drives in the form of new materials for lectures and selected exercises, as taught at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Both subjects are part of accreditation which the MUST have received, and their modernization will enhance the level of European standards. The materials created during the implementation of this project will introduce students to modern trends in the field of industrial automation and electrical drives and will outline them the use of these modern technologies in their future professional life. The materials will cover the fields of DC motor drives, induction and synchronous motors, and a wide range of control techniques, including logic control, programmable automatic machines, and continuous or vector control.

After completing their studies, students will understand the structures of modern electric drives and their control. They will be able to assess technical parameters of the drives and their components and will understand in detail the functions and general operation of individual components. They will understand the basic applications, which will enable them to create studies concerning needs of given technological processes, to specify the equipment requirements, and to evaluate the proposals of competitors. A secondary but equally important aspect of the project is improvement of language skills of students as the materials will be given to the Mongolian university in English, and they are intended for direct use in classrooms.
