Moreover, disabled youth finishing their education belongs to the age group most affected by unemployment.

New methods and services will be tested to facilitate stronger inclusion of the disabled youth into formal and non-formal education and enhanced their employability chances.

The project is focusing on the people with disabilities, who struggle against discrimination, social stigma and very often they have no equal access to health and social care services due to various determinants. The project assumes interdisciplinary approach to address the issue of accessibility in both health and social care field.

It focuses on the right to healthcare since health is one of the most important factors for normal functioning of a person; raising awareness and informing PWDs about their rights and available opportunities in health and social care through hotline, information campaign; further, engaging practitioner social workers to cope with individual cases of assistance aiming at enhancing social inclusion of PWDs.

Project will also address the improvement of quality of medical services through education of Primary health personnel on the issues of disability, ethics and related rights in order to overcome discrimination at medical institutions frequently faced by PWDs, to facilitate relationship between medical personnel and PWDs and to enhance delivery of quality service to PWDs.

Besides PWDs, project concentrates on medical personnel (primary health care) and social workers. Raising awareness of medical personnel will help to improve their capability to support social inclusion of PWDs and to promote the equal access to health and social care. Other target groups of the project are students and lectures of Department of Family Medicine in TSMU, the organizations focusing on PWDs issues (civic associations, governmental institutions, etc.), and citizens of Tbilisi, Zugdidi, Telavi and their surroundings.
