Emergency health-care service in the Tusheti Region is insufficient taking into consideration the remoteness of the area and high altitudes. The aim of the project is to increase the quality of First Medical Aid Services in Tusheti region which should benefit both the local population and tourists. Specific outcomes of the project include the provision of an emergency vehicle and of stationary and mobile equipment to both the vehicle and the First Aid ambulance in Omalo.  The ambulance was established in 2005 with the support of the EU.
