Management Plan for the Tusheti Protected Landscape has been recently developed, being the main output prepared in the frame of previous development project called “Preparation of Management Plan for Tusheti Protected Landscape” (no. CZDA-RO-GE-2012-3-41010). The Management Plan proposes numerous measures being aimed at maintenance of natural, cultural and historical values of the area together with an appropriate management of nature and landscape, securing high level of biodiversity and typical landscape character. An important part of measures listed in the Management Plan is also focused on maintaining stabile population of Tush community which is supported by specific measures strengthening sustainable regional development.

This project is elaborated in direct linkage to the Management Plan and it is aimed at facilitating implementation of selected measures from the Management Plan, in particular in field of development of touristic infrastructure, monitoring of species and inventorying of important natural phenomena. Other important activity related to tourism development will be focused on identification of potential additional sources of income from tourism sector, proposing of appropriate measures and actions and their subsequent implementation. One of the project tasks will propose a suitable way of public presentation of the Tusheti Protected Landscape, especially through the bilingual web page offering at the same time comprehensive updated information for tourists and visitors.
