In September 2017, representatives of the Pardubice Region headed by the Governor of the Pardubice Region, JUDr. Martin Netolický Ph.D., visited Georgia. With representatives of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, they discussed possible cooperation between the two regions in the fields of environment, tourism, agriculture and education. On the basis of these meetings and further communication, the project "Exchange of experience in destination management, education and management of LAGs on the basis of good practice of the Pardubice Region" was developed. This project was implemented during 2018 and focused on cooperation in the field of destination management, exchange of experience of local action groups and management in education. The project was successful for the benefit of both parties and the representatives of the Pardubice Region and the representatives of the Georgian side would like to continue the cooperation in 2019.

Shalva Givishvili, Director of the Development Agency of the Mtscheta-Mtianeti Region, praises the deepening of Czech-Georgian cooperation. "The Pardubice Region is an important partner for us, which can help us in many things. We are very happy that we have gained this partner, because besides theoretical ones, we also need practical experience, which we can gain only by meeting experts in these fields. I hope that our cooperation is just beginning with this visit".
