The public tender "Ensuring the Access to Potable Water for Residents of Guguam, Teso, Bargo and Huluka, Sidama" is implemented within the program "Establishment of Sustainable System of Drinking Water Supply in Small Towns of Sidama II, SNNPR, Ethiopia". Services, material supplies and technical assistance are the core of this public tender. Its final aim is to build a water supply system in three areas of Sidama (Guguma, Tesu and Bargu) and to rehabilitate the current dysfunctional water supply system in Huluka (also in Sidama). We also expect to enhance the water sources management and the hygiene conditions that will lead to the reduction of water transmitted diseases. The new water supply system will reinforce the social and economic potential. The water sources capacity is such that it should meet the demand for potable water even after the number of local population has risen in the next 20 years. The project follows up on similar activities in the same geographical region"Establishment of Sustainable System of Drinking Water Supply in Small Towns of Sidama I, SNNPR, Ethiopia" that ensured the water access to the residents of Daye, Bona and Hagere Salam in between the years 2011 and 2015.
