(DOBA REALIZACE)
The main purpose of the project is to improve the quality of implementation of development and humanitarian projects by raising public awareness of the importance of technical disciplines in the implementation of humanitarian and development projects and stimulating the interest of the technical community (including students) in humanitarian and development projects and motivating the technical community to get involved in these projects. In general, multidisciplinary collaboration between technical and non-technical disciplines leads to better facilities for project operation (e.g. a well-designed building specifically for a particular project at a particular site), and there is no reason to assume that this would be different for development projects. On the contrary, it seems that for development projects this cooperation is much more important.

In the long term, we expect that the CTU Development Education project will lead to improved delivery of development projects. There will be more engineers motivated to get involved in development projects and the public will be informed about the importance of quality technical design of projects, leading to more support for projects that match this. It will be possible and desirable to tailor projects (e.g., buildings) to specific situations, needs, cultures, etc. Since if the project facilities (e.g. building) are designed appropriately, it can be expected that they will be used for longer and provide greater benefit to the beneficiaries and greater "value for money", or can serve as a model case bringing technical innovation directly to the region where the project is implemented.
