The target groups of the project are the research and educational institutions that will provide research development in thefield of addiction in Georgia, and also the professional staff which will be trained to be able to provide long-term addictological research in Georgia.

The project has the following aims: development of capacity to monitor the drug situation at Institute of Addictology, capacity building for research in the field of addiction, creating specific addiction training modules which will be incorporated into undergraduate programs, study courses focused on decision making and dissemination of addictology(journalism, public policy and management etc.), also lifelong learning and further development and institutional affiliationfor addictologists at Georgian Association of Addictologists (GAA), especially considering the capacity of certification forlifelong learning programs in the field of addiction.
