The aim of this project is to raise the awareness of development aid, working conditions and rights, as well as of roles and possibilities of particular actors with regards to a positive change among European citizens. Relevant information should enable citizens, members of the European Parliament and other representatives of the EU to reflect interconnections between the countries of the Global South and Europe. Primary issues are consumer behaviour and related responsibility and companies' accountability with regards to the production in their suply chains. Subsequently, the reflection should lead to activities which support workers' rights in production countries and thus improvement working conditions in shoe industry chains. Well informed EU actors will support high working standards as fundamental prerequisite for a decent life and progressive poverty eradication.
