The intention of the project is to contribute to the implementation of the Global Development Education and Global Context Awareness Strategy for 2018-2030 by increasing the expertise and competences of teaching staff in the area of integrating global and development education into the teaching of pupils using interactive teaching methods, and thus helping them to better grasp in practice the cross-curricular themes in which the principles and themes of global development education are included.

In doing so, the project thematically focuses on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the context of developing countries in sub-Saharan Africa, taking into account the philosophy of UBUNTU.

Teachers and pupils will be offered an online learning platform containing a series of themes for specific activities divided into chapters according to the eight SDGs. The platform will provide access for teachers and pupils to a wide range of online resources, ideas and information to help pupils understand the connections between their lives and the lives of people in developing (African) countries.

In addition, online workshops will be held to provide teachers with an introduction to the topic as well as practical approaches to using the various activities included in the digital learning kit.
