CzechAid allocates 483 million CZK to Development Cooperation Projects
The Plan of Activities in 2017 has been presented to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. CzechAid has followed all the necessary prescriptions such as the Article 151/2010 on development cooperation and humanitarian action. From the strategic point of view, the CzechAid's activity is defined by the Strategy of Foreign Development Cooperation and the Plan of Bilateral Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic authorized within the Article 631/2016. Based on these documents CzechAid has been allocated a budget that amounts to 513,2 million CZK for the year 2017, only 5,9 % of this sum will be spent on the operations while the absolute majority will go directly to the bilateral projects in priority countries, as well as on in-country grants and the B2B Programme. Among the main recipients of the CzechAid's budget there will be Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ethiopia. Besides that, CzechAid will continue to implement the Mid-term Vision of Capacity Strengthening that had been discussed in the government in November 2016. We have identified 3 strategic targets of the Mid-term Vision:

1) to increase the number of development activities and qualified as well as motivated staff at the headquarters and in partner countries

2) to focus on activities providing added value and to increase the efficiency of project implementation that results in sustainable results

3) to enhance the brand management and to cooperate with larger circle of partners and implementing organizations
