Capacity-building in Georgia
Capacity-building of Georgian professionals and the provision of quality services to people with autistic spectrum disorder are one of the main goals of the project implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia. In November 2016, 34 Georgian professionals especially behaviour therapists representing various service provider organization (including the ones from the regions) participated in a 5-day training cycle on “Assessment of basic language and learning skills -revised (ABLLS-R)”. The training was delivered by the trainers of the Child Development Institute of Ilia State University. On February 10, 2017, the training participants gathered once again at the Ilia State University for the handover ceremony of ABLLS-R books published within the frame of the project. The participants were also handed out the certificates on the completion of ABLLS-R course.
