The adoption of a new set of development goals - the SDGs - brings up front new challenges for the entire development community of the Czech Republic, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs). One of these challenges aims at changing the current limited, partial approach towards an integrated one – making a systematic effort to include into one’s decision making processes and actions the inter-linkages to the external environment, whether this concerns taking into account concerns of other actors or additional dimensions of a problem. The project fluently follows up on activities carried out by Glopolis and other partners within the framework of the 2015 European Year of Development in an effort to further expand and strengthen partnerships of principal NGO networks for the implementation of SDGs (represented by the initiative Měj se k světu), enhance their capacity for an integrated approach and for interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration. Therefore, during 2016, 8 platforms and networks will attempt to complete their Joint Manifesto, which defines common goals, targets, indicators and a collective vision for a new government strategy for national development (to include SDGs Implementation Framework), influence  discussions and government processes in a coordinated manner, streamline communication of the SDGs in the Czech cultural context and intensify contacts and the capabilities of NGOs to work together to implement the SDGs with the private sector, trade unions and the academics.
