The project aims to significantly develop the GDE at Czech schools, especially at vocational schools.
The project reacts to the fact that in the issue of global challenges, there are big differences between the opinions and attitudes of high-school students compared to students of secondary technical schools and vocational schools. According to available data, this opinion gap is significantly affected by the form and quality of teaching of global issues at these schools. The main objective of the project is therefore to support and significantly spread the teaching of global development education in Czech schools, with an emphasis on secondary technical schools and vocational schools. We believe that regardless of their specialization, schools should lead pupils and students to empathy and solidarity with people from distant corners of the world. Pupils and students should be aware of their shared responsibility for our globalized world.
