The project Dialogue for Partnership for Sustainable Development aims to actively involve representatives of the civil, public and private sectors in the Young Caritas platform by the end of 2021 and through mutual cooperation to actively contribute to raising awareness of selected SDGs, increasing the impact of non-formal education activities and developing active citizenship among young people, thereby contributing to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
It responds to current topics that are increasingly resonating not only in the Czech Republic but also in the world. These are Agenda 2030, foreign development cooperation of the Czech Republic with a deeper focus on the Sustainable Development Goals, partnership and involvement of young people. The project will mainly reflect three specific goals that correspond to the long-term strategy of the implementer - Health and Quality of Life, Less Inequalities and Climate Action.
The project implementer is Charity Czech Republic, specifically its Global Development Education Section, which is part of the Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation Department. In recent years, it has been intensively involved in the topic of sustainable development and active global citizenship. In recent years, it has moved from purely formal educational projects to public education and non-formal education. In the last 2 years, it has also been actively involved in the creation and functioning of the national platform Young Caritas, whose vision is to frame and systematically disseminate the topics of global education and social responsibility among young people, using its own potential as a network organization and thus significantly increasing the quality and impact of the activities implemented.
As a result of the presented project plan, a stable network of partners from the civil, public and private sectors will be established, with whom the project implementer will cooperate in the long term in raising awareness about foreign development cooperation in the Czech Republic and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. At the end of the project, the individual cooperating entities will not only be informed about the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, but will also know how to contribute to their implementation. At the same time, they will be ready to offer opportunities for young people to get involved and take civic responsibility.
