The project responds to the situation in the employment of socially disadvantaged people (women and graduates). In 2012, GDP was 5.2%, the unemployment rate was 27.5% and the population living in poverty was around 25%.

The long-term objective of the project is to limit the social inequality by strengthening the economic self-sufficiency of marginalized groups in OPT, particularly women, students and graduates. This improvement in the conditions of socially disadvantaged people will be achieved by increasing their possibility of being employed.

The project will support the realization of training courses for disadvantaged women, as well as assistance to these women during the job search itself. Furthermore, the students and graduates of secondary schools and universities will be provided with life skills courses and consulting. Also the system of internships will be supported, so the students would be able to gain relevant experience and knowledge. The project also focuses on the topic of discrimination against women in the labour market. Campaigns against discrimination in employment of women and for improving their working conditions will be held. As part of this campaign, leaflets about the status of women in the labour market will be distributed, discussion on the topic will be broadcasted in the radio and the round table with representatives of employers and local authorities specifically focusing on the topic of gender discrimination on labour market will be organized

Expected impacts of the project are to improve students' orientation and motivation in continuing education and professional employability and to improve opportunities of employment for graduates and socially disadvantaged women.
