Project addresses the situation of disadvantaged children in province of Takeo, Cambodia. Their involvement in education process is insufficient due to bad awareness about their needs and insufficient experience with inclusion of disabled into educational system.

The goal of the project is to improve and expanded education and community support for disabled children in one district in Takeo Province, Cambodia. First output of the project is that we will have Working Group on inclusive education on the level of province. Representatives of the group will get knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field of inclusive education through trainings and exchange visits, they will alter on develop training materials on inclusive education. Monitoring system of inclusive education will be developed as well. Secondly we will work with teachers and management staff of schools. The objective aims to build the capacity of teachers to apply inclusive education teaching methodologies and philosophy to support children with disabilities in school and outside the classroom.

Finally the project will target community members and will increase their awareness of the special needs and abilities of disabled children and involve them. Families of disadvantaged children, community health workers and teachers will have skills in rehabilitation and will develop action plans to support disabled and their families. Disabled will be at the end receiving rehabilitation services.
