The project builds on the previous two-year project that was implemented within the years 2014-2015. Current project aims to contribute to the development and consolidation of the rule of law and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms in Cambodia and specifically to strengthen tenure security and the right to adequate housing of poor urban dwellers in Phnom Penh. This will be achieved through raising awareness, hazard mapping and risk assessment and searching for satisfactory non-conflict win-win spatial solutions to land disputes through participative approach involving all relevant stakeholders to secure long-term sustainability.

Project also places great emphasis on enhancing the role of CSOs/CBOs as actors in regular dialoge with duty bearers (LAs) to defend rights and interests of urban poor communities and finding peaceful land conflict resolution in the urban areas to achieve social justice.
